The Dark Knight Rises......and Falls Within A Few Hours

Greetings everyone!

Just yesterday the second trailer (or first official one) of the upcoming film, The Dark Knight Rises, was leaked to the internet, and removed within hours of discovering it. (Update - A new trailer was found this morning, and can be found at the bottom of the article). I can say with a high level of certainty that this movie is going to kick all sorts of ass. The trailer, running slightly over 2 minutes long, shows a majority of the characters leading the films all start cast. Christian Bale returns as the Caped Crusader for the final installment of Christopher Nolan's masterful trilogy, while Tom Hardy plays the films leading villain, Bane. For any one of you whom had doubts about Hardy, or that Heath Ledger shut the door on whats possible with a villain in a superhero movie, better think again. Bane looks dark, complex, and more importantly, very, very dangerous. In the trailer you see him blowing up an entire football field, killing most of the players on the field. I have never seen anything like it. And that's just for starters. The rest of the cast joins, as the movies 2 1/2 hour running time is still being filmed, edited, etc...

The movie is said to hit theaters summer 2012 (July). I personally cannot wait for this film. Nolan is a masterful director, and his movies cannot come recommended enough from my end. But don't take my word for it. Below you can find both trailers to the movie.

Retro Affect!

Hey all!

Just wanted to share a company a good friend of my currently heads here in Meredith, NH! The name of the company is Retro Affect. Its a small group of game developers who have been working on a project called "Snapshot" for quite some time now. The game looks great and is approaching its release to the PC platform in the next couple of months. The company also hopes to place the game on the PlayStation 3 in the months following its PC release. Future system incorporation is still TBD.

David, the computer neurosurgeon of Retro Affect, recently traveled to Las Vegas to promote his game at MineCon with one of his Co-Workers. The game has received many awards, including the IGF award in 2009, as well as the IGM Most Anticipated Indie Game of 2012 nomination! I personally have played snapshot and can say that it is a unique, well designed, engaging 2-d experience that I hope you all look into.

Please support this group of talented individuals. The game is unique, and something you've never really played before. You can find plenty of information on both the game, and the company, at http://www.retroaffect.com/

Both myself, and Retro Affect, appreciate spreading this information so that as many people as possible can discover these truly unique games produced from the company. Hopefully this is the first of many from this promising studio!
